Department News & Upcoming Events:

SAT Prep Course: The Jefferson Lewis BOCES is offering a course for students who plan on taking the Scholastic Apptitude Test (SAT) this spring.  The course is taught live on Saturday mornings from the Watertown BOCES campus to participating school districts.  The course starts February 4th, and goes until April 28th.  The cost is $165, and the deadline to register is January 31st. 

A mailing was sent home to the parents of Juniors about this class, including the regeistration from (which you may also download below).  Please contact Mrs. Durr with any questions or for more information.   

Financial Aid Information: HESC's special FAFSA Assistance Hotline: 1-800-808-1790 offers live help for your students and their parents to answer any questions about completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The FAFSA Assistance Hotline continues Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon - 5:00 pm through February 28 to promote Student Financial Aid Awareness.

College Goal Sunday at Clarkson University: On Saturday, February 4th, from 1-4 p.m., parents are invited to participate in a financial aid program that enables familes to complete the financial aid application with a fiancial aid trained professional.  There is a form that you can download below that has more information about this program.

SUNY is offering two Statewide Student Financial Aid Days: January 21 and February 11. At these events, prospective students and families will receive assistance from SUNY financial aid professionals in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Many host campuses will provide access to the online FAFSA.

These workshops are offered free of charge and are available at many different campus locations. Visit 
www.suny.edu/studentevents to see a list of all participating campuses. Students and families should attend the program that is most convenient.

Pre-registration for SUNY's Statewide Student Financial Aid Day is available at 
www.suny.edu/studentevents or by contacting the SUNY Recruitment Response Center at 800.342.3811.

Michaela Patterson has been accepted to Siena College, the College of St. Rose, LeMoyne College, and Elmira College!

Audrey Schwind has been accepted to Wells College,Washington and Jefferson, the University of Maine, LeMoyne College, Cazenovia College, and Utica College!

Jeremy Tarwater has been accepted to Sage College of Albany, the College of St. Rose, Wells College, Elmira College, St. John's University, and Daemon College!
