Board of Education Strategic Priorities
The Board of Education is committed to serving the Lyme Central School District as follows:
Goal #1: Supporting the development of professional learning opportunities for all students and staff
- Invite all staff and students to share instructional strategies, technology, etc. as the Board of Education’s purposeful efforts to enhance their own understanding and support of the District’s academic, extracurricular, and athletic programs and offerings for all students
Goal # 2: Providing students with opportunities to enhance their school experience
- Support the District’s efforts to provide career exploration opportunities and internships so that students can explore their interests and skills needed to make informed decisions regarding their future college and/or career goals
Goal #3: Encouraging and promoting transparency and positive relationships with staff, students, families, and community members
- Increase visibility and interaction of Board members during district events, functions, and on school-based committees in partnership with the Administrative Team and LCS Staff
Goal #4: Developing, maintaining, and aligning financial resources to improve District operations and that are fiscally responsible to taxpayers
- Make data driven decisions regarding our facility and programs to effectively utilize financial resources to address strategic targets and goals

The Lyme Central School District, in partnership with parents and community, will establish a foundation for life-long learning, individual well-being, responsible behavior, and the pursuit of excellence to meet the challenges of the future.
