2023-24 Board of Education Goals

The Board of Education serving the Lyme Central School District is committed to:

  •  receiving  bi-monthly updates from the Administrative Team regarding the strategic targets and goals being addressed during the 2023-2024 school year per the LCSD Strategic Plan  
  • inviting all staff and/or students to share programs, instructional strategies technology and/or  instructional resources, during monthly meetings, as part of the BOE’s purposeful efforts to enhance their understanding and support of the district’s academic, extra-curricular, and athletic programs/offerings for all students and staff
  • supporting the pursuit of professional development opportunities for staff, administration, parents/caregivers, and Board of Education members related to the LCSD Strategic Plan’s targets and goals
  • encouraging transparency and positive relationships between home, school, and community by assuring increased visibility of Board Members during district events, functions, and on school-based committees in partnership with the Administrative Team and LCS Staff
  • reviewing, considering and regularly discussing available district, student and regional data when leveraging district resources for the benefit of students, staff, and taxpayers; efficiently utilizing financial resources to address strategic targets and goals as identified within the District’s Strategic Plan
  • examining and refining policy language in collaboration with the MORIC Policy service in order to strengthen long term strategic efforts and enrich the overall educational experience of all LCS students
