Emily Remington-Burker

Hello Lyme community!

I am excited to embark on this journey with such a vibrant and dedicated community.  I bring a variety of experiences with me that I hope will serve this school community well. I myself am a graduate of a small school, graduating from Alexandria Central School in 2002. From there I attended JCC, SUNY Plattsburgh, SUNY Oswego, and SUNY Potsdam earning degrees in liberal arts, adolescence education, literacy, and educational leadership.

I have been a teacher and administrator at the Carthage Central School District for the past fifteen years. I started my educational career teaching secondary social studies before moving into administration. I have served as both an assistant principal, middle school principal, and high school principal. Through these experiences I have worked on various aspects of school life all while committed to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Together, I hope to continue to build on the rich traditions of Lyme and strive for excellence in our school. I look forward to meeting and learning from you all. My door is always open, and I am eager to collaborate to ensure the success and well-being of every student.

Here’s to a fantastic academic year ahead!
